This was a return stay before our departure from San Jose. After our initial stay I didn't rate it as highly as it deserves. After travelling around the country for several weeks we realized what a treat this hotel is. This time we were in room 900 - so well laid out, comfortable chair & ottoman for the person not using the computer desk (in its own alcove). Huge bathroom, with a good plumbing system, beautiful fluffy white towels. working fridge. Quiet. comfortable king bed with good bedding. The elevators always work :o). The breakfast buffet is lovingly assembled by the dedicated staff with offerings that appeal to everyone. We could walk everywhere (faster than taking taxis in this one-way street city). All of the staff are warmly efficient, professional, friendly, helpful. As everyone knows, the staff make or break a hotel and this stuff is excellent.

The staff was outstanding. Front desk everyone spoke perfect English. Dinning staff 80% spoke good English, the rest broken English. Everyone was more than obliging. After Connie's oral surgery servers volunteered to blending or pulverizing her food so she could eat. Every morning when I went down early for coffee they inquired, with sincerity, how she was doing... then later when she came down they ask if she wanted another milk shake, something that was foreign to them prior to our arrival. The people here put themselves out for our convenience... assisting with a booking tours, making calls for us when Spanish was necessary, providing maps then highlighting the directions to where we wanted to go, then adding with specific landmarks that we would know, like go the the Pizza Hut and turn right. The people here make the sale.

It was great to have someone help us with our bags as not every hotel in Costa Rica normally does this. Our room was grandiose with a King size bed and a fabulous view from the top floor (12)! By the way, the elevator is exceptionally speedy! We went to dinner about 8pm and everything was perfect. My waiter accidentally gave me the wrong cocktail, which turned out better for me...I discovered The Mojito...mmm, tasty. Speaking of tasty, the food was d-e-e-elicious! How do I get this chef to come and work for me in Canada?? Lol! The waiter was very friendly and attentive, pouring our drinks for us and always checking to see if everything was OK with us. I felt like royalty! The price for all of this was a mere $198/night...can't beat that. I will definitely be back. Thanks 😊

The hotel was nice. It was clean. The beds were pretty comfortable, and the sheets and comforters were heavier than the typical kleenex consistency that hotels provide. There is a restaurant. We had Thanksgiving dinner and breakfast the next morning. The Thanksgiving dinner was pretty good but expensive. The location was not as close to the major sites as I would have liked, but it was in a good location (as good as any location that requires driving in San Jose could be). The parking garage was adequate and secure. The staff was nice. We did not use the pool, so I can't speak to it.

The room had 2 queen size beds which were super comfortable. The room was large, bright and was very quite, breakfast was included and was very good, overall I would say it was very good value. The reception staff in particular were very welcoming and helpful, in fact all staff were very helpful. We stayed in different hotels in Costa Rica over the 3 weeks and found this hotel to be the best value and good facilities, we stayed here at the beginning of the trip for two nights and decided to stay again for one night at the end as we were so impressed.
